Working with Katie Garrett has been a wonderful experience for my son. He is in third grade and had developed an awkward pencil grip over the years. This was brought to our attention last Fall when our son was having difficulties finishing written assignments. We realized that his awkward pencil grip was causing his writing hand and arm to physically hurt. Thus, he was struggling in school with his written work and then having difficulties at home with homework. We were referred to Katie and she quickly evaluated our son and began working with him on a weekly basis. Within just a few sessions, his pencil grip was no longer an issue, he enjoyed writing assignments, and his writing was so much neater! He has learned so much from Katie and continues to apply what she has taught him in his everyday writing. His improved writing skills make him and his teachers very happy!
